REWARDS FOR
CONTINUING EDUCATION

The American Association of Christian Therapists is proud to continue the four advanced levels of certification for those who are eligible.  It was felt after much consideration that further recognition should be available for those who had gone beyond the basic level required for Certification or License but had not completed another degree.  Requirements are stricter and each applicant will be considered thoroughly by the CRC.  Please review the following requirements for each level.

THE FOLLOWING LEVELS ARE IN EFFECT BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2004.  IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE OLD LEVELS IN EFFECT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30, 2004 PLEASE CALL THE AACT HOME OFFICE.

 
REGISTERED PASTORAL CARE MEMBER:
COLLEAGUE - $55 (A non-certified level)
REGISTERED CHRISTIAN CARE MEMBER:
COLLEAGUE - $55 (A non-certified level)

 

Applicant must be eligible for the RBPM or RBLM.  He/She shall have four (4) references.  There shall be submitted three (3) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required training.  The RBLM shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor.  The RBPM shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her denominational/fellowship superior.

 

REGISTERED PASTORAL CARE PROVIDER: COLLEAGUE  -  $59

REGISTERED CHRISTIAN CARE PROVIDER: COLLEAGUE - $59

Applicant must be eligible for the RAPC or RALC.  He/She shall have four (4) references.  There shall be submitted three (3) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required training.  The RALC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor.  The RAPC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her denominational/fellowship superior.

 

 

CERTIFIED PASTORAL CARE PROVIDER:

FELLOW - $65 
CERTIFIED CHRISTIAN CARE PROVIDER:

FELLOW - $65

 

Applicant must be eligible for the CAPC or CALC.  He/She shall have four (4) references.  There shall be submitted five (5) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required Bachelors Degree.  The CALC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor.  The CAPC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her deniminational/fellowship superior.

 
TRACK A: PASTORAL & CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

 
CERTIFIED PASTORAL CARE COUNSELOR:
FELLOW - $75 
CERTIFIED CHRISTIAN CARE COUNSELOR:
FELLOW - $75

 

LICENSED PASTORAL CARE COUNSELOR:

FELLOW - $79

LICENSED CHRISTIAN CARE COUNSELOR:

FELLOW - $79

 

Applicant must be eligible for the CCPC, CCCC, LCPC, or LCCC.  He/She shall have four (4) references.  There shall be submitted five (5) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required Masters Degree.  The CCCC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor or immediate supervisor.  The CCPC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her denominational/fellowship superior. 
 
The LCPC and LCCC are given to Doctoral candidates that do not meet the qualifications for the LPPC and the LPCC.

 

LICENSED PROFESSIONAL PASTORAL COUNSELOR:

DIPLOMATE - $89 
LICENSED PROFESSIONAL CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR:

DIPLOMATE - $89

Applicant must be eligible for the LPPC or LPCC.  He/She shall have five (5) references.  There shall be submitted seven (7) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required Doctors Degree.  The LPCC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor or immediate supervisor.  The LPPC shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her denominatinal/fellowship superior.

TRACK B: PASTORAL & CHRISTIAN THERAPY

 

CERTIFIED SKILLED PASTORAL THERAPIST:
FELLOW - $75 
CERTIFIED SKILLED CHRISTIAN THERAPIST:
FELLOW - $75

 

LICENSED ADVANCED PASTORAL THERAPIST:

FELLOW - $79

LICENSED ADVANCED CHRISTIAN THERAPIST:

FELLOW - $79

 

 
Applicant must be eligible for the CSPT, CSCT, LAPT, or LACT.  He/She shall have four (4) references.  There shall be submitted five (5) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required Masters Degree.  The CSCT and the LACT shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor or immediate supervisor.  The CSPT and the LAPT shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her denominational/fellowship superior. 
 
The LAPT and LACT are given to Doctoral candidates that do not meet the qualifications for the LPPT and the LPCT.
 

 

LICENSED CLINICAL PASTORAL THERAPIST:

DIPLOMATE - $89 
LICENSED CLINICAL CHRISTIAN THERAPIST:

DIPLOMATE - $89

 

Applicant must be eligible for the LCPT or LCCT.  He/She shall have five (5) references.  There shall be submitted seven (7) additional certificates or proof of continuing education beyond the initial required Doctors Degree.  The LCCT shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her pastor or immediate supervisor.  The LCPT shall have a special letter of recommendation from his/her denominatinal/fellowship superior.
